How To Cheat Your Way To Writing Irresistible Headlines

April 23, 2013 2 comments

how to write headlines

The first and the most important part of any content is the headline.

8 out of 10 people read your headline, but only 2 out of 10 read the rest, on average.

This shows you the power of a headline.

If a person likes the headline, chances are that he is going to read the rest of your article.

No wonder certain people get paid piles of money just to write great headlines and copy.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to spend years learning the art of copywriting to get started.

There are much simpler ways to write exceptional headlines.

And I’m going to show them to you.

How Long Is The Perfect Blog Post And Why You Shouldn’t Listen To Experts

April 12, 2013 2 comments

perfect blog post lengthWe all know the magic number probably doesn’t exist.

But there is, however, a common theme in most of the popular articles.

If you have a humongous blog with huge following then a blog post with 2000 words and a post with 200 words can have the same effect.

When starting out, any advantage you can muster could help you a lot.

I did a ton of research while writing this post and most of the articles I found had no research data what so ever! Pretty much everything was guesswork.

Ton of people that wrote “you should write between 500 and 1000 words“. Why?!

It’s the same number over and over again. No one knows where it came from or why it’s good.

So I decided to find out the sweet-spot myself. Backed with hard data.

Are you one of them?

Everyone struggles with being productive. If you’re like me, procrastination is your worst enemy.

There is a lot of advice and techniques on how to be productive and get things done. Some of it works great, but some of it is just bad advice.

How I Boosted My Productivity 33% With Only One Change

January 13, 2013 6 comments

I am going to describe a typical day of mine:

Wake up, wash, eat.

Open my laptop… … stare at the screen … … curse… wait some more …. insert my password… stare some more…wait… get frustrated and walk away.

Come back after a few minutes to see stat things are slowwly loading.

First thing I look at is Chrome… Why the heck do I need all those 30 open tabs? *sigh* things couldn’t be any slower.

Few minutes later… Ok lets quickly look over the email and see if anything critical is going on. Few minor things need to be taken care of, no problemo.

Open up a few new tabs to “quickly” take care of them… loading…

Ok while they are loading, let me look at some other things that I have open…

10 minutes later

Oh yea, what was I supposed to do? Oh, those quick problems. Let me see if they are loaded. Great! What the hell did I have to do with them?

Better check my email again.

REPEAT the whole process.

I might be a little over exaggerating here, but you can get the picture. When it took a while for some processes to load I checked out some other things in the meanwhile and lost focus on the task at hand.

I wasn’t being productive at all.
